How long do I have Sirius Satellite radio for?

I just bought a new car, a 2009 Ford Focus, which came equipped with Sirius Satellite radio. The salesman didnt say anything about a trial period or the service expiring, but it is my understanding that for satellite radio, the car owner has to pay a subscription. Will I have to pay a subscription fee after a certain period of time or will I always have it equipped without having to pay for it?

1. the radio stays in the car ,you decide if you want to have a subscription or not. with sirius you can get a lifetime sub for around 500 buck and not have to pay again
