- There are after market radios that are "satellite ready." If this is the case, you still need to get a satellite reciever and a subscription. If you actually have a satellite reciever, you need to call Sirius to set up/pay for a subscription. Chekc out their site www.sirius.com I have Sirius radio and love it.
- Have the Sirius antenna and mechanism installed by your car stereo installer at any Best Buy or Fry's Electronics store or car stereo place. To sign into Sirius, you need to fill out a contract from the store that installed your Sirius connection and activate your account. They will give you an option on what terms you should purchase, just like you do when you purchase a cell phone. I'm listening to Howard Stern right now, as I'm typing.
- You would need to buy the gray boxy Sirius tuner that is made for your particular brand of radio. They all cost about $100 wherever you shop, and they come with everything you need to make your car stereo a satellite radio. My friend has one for his pioneer radio, and it works fine. The only problem he has is that the display is short and only displays one line. And he can only use the radio in his truck. I like my plug and play radio that has a large display, and can go anywhere I want it. Dropping Loads!
