How do those portable satellite radio players sound in the car? I'm looking into buying a portable Sirrius satellite radio player, the kind that lets you transmit the signal to your radio (e.g. the radio in your car) using an FM modulator. Is there anybody in the San Francisco Bay Area using one of these? If so, do you have any problem with the sound quality? I tried an iPod car adaptor a few years ago that used one of those FM modulator and it didn;t work for me because local radio stations would cut in. I don't want to install the player in the car because I also want to use it in the house, when I travel, etc. Regarding the FM tuning, I'm OK with flipping around to different channels to find one that works. If I'm within the San Francisco city limits, I want to set the channel once and then not worry about it again.

SATELLITE radio??? I've had my Sirius radio for 3 years and all of a sudden I'm getting "Acquiring Signal" and "Antenna Not Detected" messages on the receiver. The radio will not work unless it's one of these constant messages. I took it back to where I originally had it installed (Circuit City) and they confirmed that the antenna was working and for me to buy a new receiver/dock (same style - sp-r1). I did, and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions as to what I do now? Thanks!

Bought new XM Xpress Satellite radio but doesn't have FM transmitter in the menu? I recently bought a XM Xpress satellite radio that advertises that it has a FM transmitter and can be heard on your radio. It clearly states this on the box and the user guide that there is a menu selection for FM transmitter settings. I cannot find it anywhere on the menu. It is missing. I have searched on the internet and found a few others that have the same problem. Is there anyone out there that knows anything about this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
